April 26th, 2023, the YUVA Team of JKKN College of Pharmacy organized an event to commemorate Intellectual Property Rights Day. The event was held at Senthur Raja Hall and was attended by almost 200 students from various JKKN Educational Institutions. Dr. R. Arun, Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics, was the event’s chief guest. He delivered an insightful and informative speech about intellectual property rights, with a particular focus on patents. He explained the importance of protecting intellectual property and the various laws and regulations that govern patents in India. During his speech, discussed the different types of patents and the requirements for obtaining them. He emphasized the role of patents in promoting innovation and technological advancements, and how they encourage businesses to invest in research and development. Dr. Arun also highlighted the potential benefits of patenting for pharmaceutical companies and the healthcare industry.
